Guerdon Promotes Michael Merle to Vice President of Business Development
Succession plan coming to fruition as Michael Merle replaces Dan Horne who is retiring after 17 years with Guerdon.
BOISE, IDAHO – Today marks the changing of the guard as Michael Merle steps into the position of Vice President of Business Development for Guerdon and Dan Horne retires after a successful career.
Michael Merle first joined Guerdon as the Director of Hospitality during the early stages of the hotel initiative. Michael watched our first Marriott branded hotel be craned into place and has since been instrumental in every hotel deal to date. Michael catapulted our Hospitality segment from limited offerings to over 80% of our current pipeline. Michael will now lead our Business Development team in all aspects of new business.
“The succession plan that has been in the works for quite some time is now coming to fruition.” Said Dan Horne. “Guerdon is in a good place and in capable hands. I can step away confidently knowing that Michael is well equipped to manage Guerdon’s growing business development efforts.”
Having been with Guerdon since the beginning, Dan has seen a lot of changes in the industry. From the single-family home days through to the large-scale commercial and hospitality projects that we build today. “We’ve barely scratched the surface,” Dan remarked about Guerdon’s future, “It will be exciting to see where it goes from here.”
